The Office of the Minister for Administrative Reform in Lebanon (OMSAR) launched on October 26, 2016 the OMSAR e-Learning Portal in a ceremonial  event  that took place at the Grand Serail under the patronage of His Excellency Premier Tammam Salam and Mr. Nabil De Freige, Minister of State for Administrative Reform.  The event was attended by Ministers, General Directors and Training Coordinators from the different Lebanese administrations.

“The OMSAR e-Learning Portal is a project funded by the Arab Fund, managed by OMSAR and executed by IQUAD Learning Solutions. This is the first initiative in Lebanon to launch an e-Learning Portal targeting all government administrations”, said Mr. Samer Hankir, Senior Training Officer at OMSAR. “The learners from the different administrations can benefit by registering to the project through a dedicated coordinator for each administration”, continued Mr. Hankir.

Mr. Nabil de Freige, Minister of State for Administrative Reform, said “it is very important to utilize the latest technologies in the development of the government employees. The e-learning portal is an opportunity to unlock the potential of public sector employees and to give them access to hundreds of online courses that will help them develop their skills. Such an initiative needs self-commitment from the employees and therefore, the slogan of the project is “BOOST Yourself””.

Mr. Fady Abdul Khalek, Managing Director of IQUAD Learning Solutions, said that “Although it is not the first such project in the region, it is considered to be unique when it comes to implementation and approach where different learner engagement activities are involved”.

A leadership Portal has been also made available to Ministers and General Directors catering for a library of short videocasts of global leaders and faculty members from global universities such as Harvard Business School, INSEAD and HEC Business Schools.
